HANDLING CAUTIONS

1. Sincethebreakerbodyiscomposedofplasticparts,donotclampordentwithtoolsasthiscouldcausearesistanceincreaseorbody

damage.

2. Breakerterminalsarethincopper-alloywithrightangleedges.Handlecarefullytoavoidinjurytofingers.Handlingwhilewearingfinger

cotsandusingtweezersisrecommended.

3. WhenweldingbreakerterminalsormountingthebreakeronacellorPCMboard,becarefultoavoidplacingexcessivestressonthe

breakerbodyandterminals.Excessivestressmaycausearesistanceincreaseorbodydamage.Pleaserefertothefollowingcautions:

a) Donotapplymorethan10Nmomenttothebreakerbody(refertoFigure1)

b) Donotapplymorethan1.5cN-mtwisttorquetothebreakerbody(refertoFigure2)

c) Donotapplymorethan20Nbendingforcetothebreakerbody(refertoFigure3)

d) Donotapplymorethan2.0cN-mtwisttorquetothebreakerterminals(refertoFigure4)

e) Do not apply more than 2 N force to the breaker terminals (refer to Figure 5)

f) Donotbendterminalsmorethan45°atroot(refertoFigure6)

g) Donottwistterminalsmorethan10°withthebreakerbodyaffixed.

4. Inbreakerbodywelding,normallythereisdirectwelding(Figure7)andserieswelding(Figure8).Ineithercase,useasuitablejigsothat

stresswillnotexceedthelimitsstatedabove.

5. Pull-and-detachstrengthoftheterminalweldingshouldbetoyourownspecification.Iftheweldingresultiscontrolledbyresistance,

measurementshouldbemadeataclosepointtothebreakerbodyby“DC4-pointclipmethod”usingamilliohmmetertoensureaccuracy

(refer to Figure 9).

6. Avoidputtingexcessivestressasshownabovein3-a)to3-g)whenthejigisusedforwelding/additionalprocessing.

7. Confirmtheresistancevalueaftereachtimeanadditionalprocessisapplied.
