SBOS364B – DECEMBER 2007 – REVISED MAY 2008 Low-Power, Wideband, Voltage-Feedback OPERATIONAL AMPLIFIER with Disable 2 • FLEXIBLE SUPPLY RANGE: The OPA2890 represents a major step forward in +3V to +12V Single Supply unity-gain stable, voltage-feedback op amps. A new ±1.5V to ±6V Dual Supplies internal architecture provides slew rate and full-power • UNITY-GAIN STABLE bandwidth previously found only in wideband, • WIDEBAND +5V OPERATION: 90MHz current-feedback op amps. These capabilities give (G = 2V/V) exceptional single-supply operation. Using a single +5V supply, the OPA2890 can deliver a 0.9V to 4.1V • OUTPUT VOLTAGE SWING: ±4.1V output swing with over 30mA drive current and • HIGH SLEW RATE: 400V/µs 210MHz bandwidth. This combination of features • LOW QUIESCENT CURRENT: 1.1mA/ch makes the OPA2890 an ideal RGB line driver or single-supply analog-to-digital converter (ADC) input • LOW DISABLE CURRENT: 30µA/ch driver. The low 1.1mA/ch supply current of the OPA2890 is • VIDEO LINE DRIVING precisely trimmed at +25 °C. This trim, along with low temperature drift, ensures lower maximum supply • xDSL LINE DRIVERS/RECEIVERS current than competing products. System power may • HIGH-SPEED IMAGING CHANNELS be reduced further using the optional disable control • ADC BUFFERS pin (MSOP-10 package only). Leaving this disable pin • PORTABLE INSTRUMENTS open, or holding it high, operates the OPA2890 normally. If pulled low, the OPA2890 supply current • TRANSIMPEDANCE AMPLIFIERS drops to less than 30 µA/ch while the output goes into • ACTIVE FILTERS a high-impedance state.
