MB90480/485 Series 68 16. Clock The clock generator module controls the operation of the internal clock circuits that serve as the operating clock for the CPU and peripheral devices. This internal clock is referred to as the machine clock, and one cycle is referred to as a machine cycle. Also, the clock signals from the base oscillator are called the oscillator clock, and those from the PLL oscillator are called the PLL clock.
