Customers should validate and test their design implementation to confirm system functionality. 8.1 Application Information The LM25183-Q1 requires only a few external components to convert from a wide range of supply voltages to one or more isolated output rails. To expedite and streamline the process of designing of a LM25183-Q1-based converter, a comprehensive LM25183-Q1 quick-start calculator is available for download to assist the designer with component selection for a given application. WEBENCH® online software is also available to generate complete designs, leveraging iterative design procedures and access to comprehensive component databases. The following sections discuss the design procedure for both single- and dual-output implementations using specific circuit design examples. As mentioned previously, the LM25183-Q1 also integrates several optional features to meet system design requirements, including precision enable, input UVLO, programmable soft start, output voltage thermal compensation, and external bias supply connection. Each application incorporates these features as needed for a more comprehensive design. The application circuits detailed in the Typical Applications show LM25183-Q1 configuration options suitable for several application use cases. Refer to the LM25184EVM-S12 EVM user's guide for more detail. 8.2 Typical Applications For step-by-step design procedures, circuit schematics, bill of materials, PCB files, simulation and test results of LM25183-Q1-powered implementations, refer to the TI Reference Design library. 8.2.1 Design 1: Wide VIN, Low IQ PSR Flyback Converter Rated at 12 V, 0.6 A The schematic diagram of a 12-V, 0.6-A PSR flyback converter is given in Figure 19.
