5 / 18 page  Rev. 1.00 5 January 05, 2017 HT42B533-x USB Interface TheUSBinterface,beingUSB2.0full-speedcompatible, isa4-wireseriesbusthatallowscommunication betweenahostdeviceandupto127maxperipheral devicesonthesamebus.Atokenbasedprotocol methodisusedbythehostdeviceforcommunication control.OtheradvantagesoftheUSBbusincludelive pluggingandunplugginganddynamicdeviceconfig- uration.AsthecomplexityofUSBdataprotocoldoes notpermitcomprehensiveUSBoperationinformation tobeprovidedinthisdatasheet,thereadershould thereforeconsultotherexternalinformationfora detailedUSBunderstanding.Thedeviceincludesa USBinterfacefunctionallowingfortheconvenient designofUSBperipheralproducts. Power Plane Therearetwopowerplanesforthedeviceandthey aretheUSBbuspowerinput(VDD)and3.3Vregulator output(V33O). FortheUSBSIEVDD,itwillsupplypowerforall circuitsrelatedtoUSBSIEanditissourcedfrom pin"VDD".OncetheUSBisremovedfromtheUSB andthereisnopowerintheUSBBUS,theUSBSIE circuitisnolongeroperational. USB Interface Operation TocommunicatewithanexternalUSBhost,thein- ternalUSBmodulehastheexternalpinsknownas D+andD-alongwiththe3.3Vregulatoroutputpin V33O.ASerialInterfaceEngine(SIE)decodesthe incomingUSBdatastreamandtransfersittothe correctendpointbuffermemoryknownastheFIFO. TheUSBmodulehas4endpoints,EP0~EP3.The endpoint0supportstheControltransferwhilethe endpoint1~endpoint3supporttheInterruptor Bulktransfer.TheHT42B533-xBridgeICsupports theUSBCommunicationDeviceClass(CDC)for communicationsandconfiguration. Endpoint Transfer Type 0 Control 1 Interrupt 2 Bulk Out 3 Bulk In USB Endpoint Transfer Type IfthereisnosignalontheUSBbusforover3ms,the USBdevicewillenterthesuspendmode.Thedevice entersthesuspendstatetomeettherequirementsof theUSBsuspendcurrentspecification.Whenthe resumesignalisassertedbytheUSBhost,thedevice willbewokenupandleavethesuspendmode. AstheUSBdevicehasaremotewake-upfunction, theUSBdevicecanwakeuptheUSBhostbysending aremotewake-uppulse.OncetheUSBhostreceives aremotewake-upsignalfromtheUSBdevice,the hostwillsendaresumesignaltodevice. USB VID and PID Configure ThedevicehasconfiguredthedefaultVenderID (VID:0x04D9), Product ID (PID:0xB533) and productdescriptionstringsof"USBtoSPIBridge". TheusercanupdateVenderID,ProductID,product descriptionstringsandremotewake-upsettingusing theirapplicationprograms. ThisdevicehasbeenconfiguredtothedefaultUSB configurationdataasshowninthefollowingtable.
