Overview
The KEMET Organic Capacitor (KO-CAP) is a solid
electrolyticcapacitorwithaconductivepolymercathode
capableofdeliveringverylowESRandimproved
capacitance retention at high frequencies. KO-CAP
combinesthelowESRofmultilayerceramic,thehigh
capacitanceofaluminumelectrolyticandthevolumetric
efficiencyoftantalumintoasinglesurfacemountpackage.
Unlikeliquidelectrolyte-basedcapacitors,KO-CAP
hasaverylongoperationallifeandhighripplecurrent
capabilities.
TheT527MiniaturePolymerElectrolyticutilizesafacedown
terminaltechnologythatcombinespackagingefficiencywith
alowprofilecomponent.Thisseriesoffershighcapacitance
in a 3216–10 (3.2 mm (L) x 1.6 mm (W) x 1.0 mm (H)) package
size.TheT527isidealforuseindenselypopulatedcircuits
such as smart phones and digital cameras where space
restrictionsdonotallowforlargerandmorecommonly
availablehighcapacitancecasesizes.
