This open-drain logicoutputispulledtogroundwhentheoutputvoltageis outsideofa±7.5%windowaroundtheregulationpoint. VRNG(Pin3):VDSSenseVoltageRangeInput.Themaxi- mumallowedbottomMOSFETVDSsensevoltagebetween SWandPGNDisequalto(0.133)VRNG.Thevoltageapplied toVRNGcanbeanyvaluebetween0.2Vand2V.IfVRNGis tiedtoSGND,thedeviceoperateswithamaximumvalley currentsensethresholdof93mVtypical.IfVRNGistied toINTVCC,thedeviceoperateswithamaximumvalley currentsensethresholdof186mVtypical. FCB(Pin4):ForcedContinuousInput.Connectthispin toINTVCCtoenablediscontinuousmodeforlightload operation.ConnectthispintoSGNDtoforcecontinuous modeoperationinallconditions. ITH(Pin5):CurrentControlThresholdandErrorAmplifier CompensationPoint.Thecurrentcomparatorthreshold increaseswiththiscontrolvoltage.Thevoltageranges from0Vto2.4V,with0.8Vcorrespondingtozerosense voltage(zerocurrent). SGND(Pin6):SignalGround.Allsmall-signalcomponents shouldbeconnectedtoSGND.ConnectSGNDtoPGND usingasinglePCBtrace. VIN(Pin10):MainInputSupply.Thesupplyvoltagecan rangefrom4Vto38V.Forincreasednoiseimmunityde- couplethispintoPGNDwithanRCfilter. INTVCC (Pin 11): Internal 5.3V Regulator Output. The driverandcontrolcircuitsarepoweredfromthisvoltage. DecouplethispintoPGNDwithaminimumof1µF,10V X5RorX7Rceramiccapacitor. BG(Pin12):BottomGateDrive.Thispindrivesthegate ofthebottomN-ChannelpowerMOSFETbetweenPGND andINTVCC. PGND(Pin13):PowerGround.Connectthispinasclose aspracticaltothesourceofthebottomN-channelpower MOSFET,the(–)terminalofCINTVCCandthe(–)terminal ofCVIN. SW(Pin14):SwitchNode.The(–)terminalofthebootstrap capacitor,CB,connectstothisnode.Thispinswingsfrom adiodevoltagebelowgrounduptoVIN. TG(Pin15):TopGateDrive.Thispindrivesthegateofthe topN-channelpowerMOSFETbetweenSWandBOOST. BOOST(Pin16):BoostedFloatingDriverSupply.The(+) terminalofthebootstrapcapacitor,CB,connectstothis node.Thisnodeswingsfrom(INTVCC–VSCHOTTKY)to VIN+(INTVCC–VSCHOTTKY). |
